SOITRON, a company with purely Slovak capital took significant measures last year for extending its services to foreign markets; it accomplished several acquisitions, broadened its partnership portfolio and achieved fourth position in the IT firms chart; it belongs to four largest Slovak IT solutions integrators. Its 2008 turnover amounted to almost EUR 47 million.

One of Slovakia’s largest IT solutions integrators has strengthened its market position and is confirming its growth strategy. The Czech company ClarioNet, a firm focusing on complex IT infrastructure management solutions, security and identity management has become a new Soitron acquisition.

Bratislava – SOITRON, a.s., has expanded its top management team in February appointing a Marketing Director. The post has been assigned to Martin Lohnert, who will be responsible for product management, marketing strategy and communication development of this Slovak system integrator.

Data attacks on company information systems are unfortunately part of everyday reality. Their scale grows larger every year. While five years ago the largest attack was 2Gbit/s, last year attack strengths reached 40Gbit/s. Attackers search for victims all around the world, not overlooking Slovakia. A data attack paralyzes a company, even making it impossible for a company to operate, and the standard security solutions do not help. These problems as well as the search for new security solutions against data attacks were the focus of the expert seminar “Packet Tsunami Kills Your Business” at the end of last year. It was organized for interested parties and Soitron business partners by SOITRON in co-operation with Cisco Slovakia.

Bratislava – Soitron, a.s. has appointed a new Sales Director. As of this August, in his new role, Michal Malíček is responsible for business strategy development of this dynamic Slovak systems integrator. Marián Skákala, who held this position up to this time, will continue to work as Vice Chairman of the Board, responsible for Soitron’s growth in Czech and Slovak Republic.
